A gorgeous little show that was educating at the same time! My 3 & 5 year old sons loved it. They were smiling the entire way through (as was I!). Very clever puppeteer & beautiful props. Well done & thank you for a great morning.

A delightful show! Very clever and amusing – both for young and old. Jenny Ellis is clearly a very talented performer! Congratulations to all involved and thank you for a wonderfully engaging performance.

A little bit of BLUE! What we all need in our lives, more blue sky, more blue hair rinses… MMmmm and maybe less blue feelings! ha! This show was great. Diverse characters, great puppets, interactive, but relaxed. Funny for mums and daughter and all with just one Woman behind it! Congrats XXX

We ALL loved ‘A little bit of blue’! My 5 year old chuckled his way through the show and loved the audience interaction. My 1/12 year old was transfixed by the puppets which were just so gorgeous. It was great to be able to sit on cushions so close to the action and to just be swept away by the story.
Thanks to all involved in putting on this show and the festival. It’s a real highlight for us.

I agree with the above comments, it was a great puppet show. I’m not sure why it was advertised as 4+, my 2 and 3 year old loved it. The 10am time is perfect for this age group and I did not regret bringing my 11mth baby too. The use of the different puppets and props was very clever. The humor was aimed at both adults and kids, making it a great outing for the family. My greatest apprehension prior to the show was that there would be too much talking about facts, but this was not the case. The informative aspect of the show is quite minimal, making it perfect for all ages up to around 10.

Agreed, and the puppetry is very clever, they can pick up various objects, manipulate them, dance, etc. I particularly liked the sound effects (footsteps, etc) and the different voices for the different characters. The show is very well designed and I like the fact that it is somewhat informative rather than just empty entertainment (I’m an adult and I learned from it too). I also liked the clever use of props e.g. the window which turns around to indicate inside/outside.

I love the blue bower bird. I like his red mask and yellow beak, he looks cool. I like the old lady and her hair wigs.

The funniest thing about todays show was the puppet dog falling into the burgular trap! The very hungery baby eating the chips off the floor was also funny. I wish I had some. My Mum says: it was amazing to see chiuldren as young as two years of age as transfixed by the show as the four year olds. There were older children (and the adults) in the audience who also were clearly enjoying the show. A real delight for all ages.
